So excited to be selected as a composer in the 2021 NZ Composer Sessions! I can’t wait to work with the NZSO to hear this new work come alive.
"I am absolutely delighted to be the inaugural recipient of the Chamber Music New Zealand Commissioning Prize, and I can’t wait to work with Ensemble Gô! Marimba and violin are an exciting, vibrant and unusual sonic combination of instruments which I look forward to exploring, as part of what promises to be a fascinating programme of music. This opportunity comes at a pivotal juncture in my career, as I’m about to graduate from Yale with a Master of Musical Arts in composition. It’s wonderful to have the chance to connect with local musicians and audiences around New Zealand.”
The New Music for Orchestra concert is always a highlight of the year at Yale. Five of us composers are super happy to have new works premiering, including my Here Goes… - check it out!

I loved writing a short piece for the LA-based piano duo HOCKET’s wonderful #What2020SoundsLike project - a series of miniature commissions, giving composers a platform to voice their responses to the pandemic.
